We honor and acknowledge that we reside on the ancestral homeland and stolen land of the Southern, Mountain, and Northern Ute Peoples of Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱, currently called Colorado Springs, CO. We recognize and respect the tribes of the Ute, Cheyenne, Arapaho, Comanche, and Apache for their traditions, language, and stories. As well as their history here where they lived, gathered, hunted, held ceremony, and drank the waters of nearby springs and took shelter in the Garden of the Gods park. We recognize the Indigenous peoples and animals as original healers of this land and all the relatives within it.
